Sorry guys, had to bring this up. What the heck is going on with the Southern border [Mexico] and the uncontrollable drug and illegal weapons cache war? It seems that we are always throwing money and causal measures to address the problem of this constant breach of our borders. It's a war zone down there, has been for some time, and there is no immediate solution in sight. I think we are long over-due on the elite "War dog" commission program. Roosevelt commissioned and in fact requested the American citizens to bring forth their Dobermans who then were trained and sent-in to Military Police service. It's time that our govt resurrects the WW-II Dobbie battalion. I personally remember going through the Leonardo De Vinci Airport Rome, where you are greeted by the German Doberman patrol dogs who sniff the luggage, and patrol in and out of the airport along side the "Securitas". That's the case with most larger continental European Airports. So, why doesn't the Dept. Of Home Land Security commission some well trimmed Dobbies in to service to accompany the border patrol SWATs down South? The border patrol can't cover the entire terrain and they need K9 squads to do the job. This breed must be utilized to honor it's tremendous history of service. I am surprised that the idea is not being considered. In the after math of 911 tragedy, we did see a handful of the Dobbies sniffing through rubble and rock and finding and dragging-out human casualties. I think we need to seriously get back to Dobby's innate function of work in this country to restore it's name and elite status.
Thoughts?
