Hi, My name is Billy.. I bought my dad a Doberman as a puppy 1 year ago. His birthday is 02/25/2008. So he is a little over a year old. Great dog by the way. Very friendly and playful. Bites a lot, but play biting. My question here is. Is he to late for all the proper dog training? Like obediance, guarding, biting, etc? Is he to old now to train? Especially on a leash, he walks you....lol

It's never too late, in fact most Europeans wait to start formal training until a dog is at least a year old, then they are very teachable..
Steve Dobes are like potato chips, you really can't have just one...

No dog is ever really too old to learn as long as the trainer is willing to work with the dog and has a good relationship. While an older dog can be set in their ways, working with them can bring them around. There are many demonstrations of this on shows on TV. It just takes a little more patience on the part of the trainer.
